Dan Forest Passes the 50 Mark on Number of Events Held During Pandemic

RALEIGH — As of this weekend, Dan Forest has held at least 50 in-person campaign events with no masks or social distancing during the pandemic. Many of these events have been held indoors with large crowds. Forest has disregarded science and even shared with the press that his goal is to “shake as many hands as we can” and hold more in-person fundraisers.

In addition to his campaign events which put people in harm’s way, Forest falsely claimed that “masks don’t work with viruses” and has called for all schools to reopen immediately without safety precautions.

Liz Doherty, Cooper for NC spokesperson, said, “This ‘milestone’ eliminates any doubt  — Dan Forest is committed to putting people in harm’s way during this pandemic. He would be a disastrous governor.”
