Cooper for North Carolina on #NCGovDebate
RALEIGH — Tonight, Governor Cooper and Dan Forest faced off in a debate broadcast statewide and sponsored by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters.
When the two candidates stood side by side and articulated their positions on the issues, it’s more obvious than ever that Roy Cooper is the clear choice for those who seek a governor who will put partisan politics aside to make the tough decisions based on science and data and keep North Carolina on the path to progress. Dan Forest, on the other hand, is committed to doubling down on his divisive social agenda and spreading misinformation about the virus to prop up his failing campaign.
Liz Doherty, spokesperson for Cooper for NC, said, “Governor Cooper just confirmed what North Carolinians know — he’s a strong, measured leader who will continue to put North Carolinians first. Forest is too dangerous for North Carolina — he would put people in danger and put corporate interests ahead of working people and families.”
