BREAKING: Greg Lindberg Found Guilty, “Governor Roy Cooper’s Campaign Comes Out Swinging Against Dan Forest”
RALEIGH – Just now, Dan Forest’s biggest donor Greg Lindberg was found guilty on all counts for bribing a government official. Yesterday, the first day of the general election, “Governor Roy Cooper’s campaign came out swinging against Dan Forest” with a new digital ad campaign, WBTV reports.
Liz Doherty, spokesperson for Cooper for NC, said, “Dan Forest continues to try and hide his involvement in the scandal, but reality hits hard today – his biggest donor was just found guilty on all counts for bribing a government official. Now more than ever, North Carolinians need to know the truth about Forest’s role in the Lindberg scandal.”
The AP summarized the Forest-Lindberg connection laid out in the ad, “Cooper’s campaign began a digital ad campaign highlighting connections between Forest and insurance magnate Greg Lindberg, who has given large amounts to committees supporting Forest.”
