RALEIGH – Today, Cooper for North Carolina released a new TV ad, “Make Life Better,” on how Roy Cooper will fight back against corrupt politicians and big corporations driving up costs for working families.

“North Carolinians are sick and tired of seeing their costs skyrocket while Washington DC insiders like Michael Whatley get rich at their expense,” said Cooper for North Carolina campaign manager Jeff Allen. “Roy Cooper will work to stop the corruption in Washington DC, take on the insurance and utility companies ripping people off and make stuff cost less.”

The ad will run on broadcast television, streaming and digital platforms statewide as part of a seven-figure buy.

Roy Cooper: I know you’re frustrated. Washington politicians get rich while you get hurt. Corporations make huge profits while your costs go up.

I’m Roy Cooper and we have to fix it. Stop the corruption of both Republicans and Democrats. Take on the insurance and utility companies that are overcharging us. Work to end this war and lower gas prices.

Some courage and common sense in Washington can make life better for everyone. I approve this message, and I’m asking for your vote.

Roy has been laser focused on lowering costs and fighting corruption – you can read all of his plans to lower high prices for working families at RoyCooper.com/CostLess.

  • Roy does not own or trade any individual stocks and supports a ban on trading of individual stocks for members of Congress and top Executive Branch officials. He also supports a ban on elected officials becoming lobbyists after they have left office.
  • Roy’s Make Stuff Cost Less plan bans insurance companies from sending people big bills they don’t expect.
  • Roy will work to lower utility bills by ensuring that corporations – not you – pay for energy used, including making sure data centers pay the full cost of all the power they use and preventing that cost from being passed on to families.

Michael Whatley is running for Senate to continue to enrich himself, while North Carolinians are dealing with an affordability crisis:

  • Whatley continuously pushed for the Iran war with no exit plan, which spiked his Big Oil stocks by up to $219,660 at the expense of North Carolina families who paid hundreds more at the pump and farmers who are struggling having to pay record diesel prices because of the Iran War.
