CARRBORO – Today, Roy Cooper hosted a “Get Out the Vote” concert in Carrboro with Governor Josh Stein, Justice Anita Earls and North Carolina musical artists Hiss Golden Messenger, Karly Hartzman, Tift Merritt, Watchhouse x Viv & Riley and Davie Circle. Roy was joined by over 1,000 attendees who were fired up and ready to make their voices heard at the ballot box to send Roy to Washington.
“Costs are rising across the board and everyday people are being left behind by politicians in Washington,” said Roy Cooper. “Now is the time for folks across the state to grab a friend and head out to the polls to cast their ballots. There is so much at stake in this election – my opponent, Michael Whatley, is cheering on the policies jacking up costs while he keeps raking in money from his Big Oil and utility stocks. Working families need a change and I’m ready to bring some North Carolina common sense to Washington DC to make stuff cost less.”
North Carolinians can register and vote early in the general election in-person from now until 3 PM on Saturday, October 31. Visit IWillVote.com to check your county’s schedule, make a plan to vote today, and bring a friend!
