RALEIGH – Today, Roy Cooper continued his “Make Stuff Cost Less” tour, holding an event in High Point to discuss how he will work in the U.S. Senate to make life more affordable for North Carolina families.
“Working families here in High Point and across the state are struggling from skyrocketing costs and I have a real plan to make stuff cost less,” said Roy Cooper. “DC Insider and Big Oil and utility company lobbyist Michael Whatley spent his career enriching himself and his wealthy friends resulting in higher costs to North Carolina families. In the U.S. Senate, I’ll be a strong independent leader focused on lowering costs for working people.”
“For working families, groceries cost more, gas costs more, all driven by a war of choice in Iran – we need a change and real leadership,” said retired U.S. Navy Commander Dave Petri. “Our military has shown tactical excellence, but tactical excellence cannot make up for poor strategic decisions made by political leaders in Washington, D.C. Big Oil lobbyist Michael Whatley supports and is profiting from this war – as it harms our troops and raises prices. That’s wrong. We need Roy Cooper because he is a strong independent leader who will look out for our national security and fight to make stuff cost less.”

On the Make Stuff Cost Less tour, Roy released his plans to lower the cost of food and groceries, health care, utilities, child care and housing.
