RALEIGH – Today, Roy Cooper continued his “Make Stuff Cost Less” tour, holding an event in Hendersonville to discuss how he will work in the U.S. Senate to make life more affordable for North Carolina families.
“I heard from so many people here in Henderson County who are getting hit hard by rising costs,” said Roy Cooper. “DC Insider and Big Oil and utility company lobbyist Michael Whatley has spent his career getting rich off of policies that make life harder for North Carolinians. I’ll work with anybody in the U.S. Senate to take on big corporations and make stuff cost less for families across the state.”
“Health insurance companies are taking advantage of North Carolina families and Roy Cooper is ready to take them on,” said retired public school educator and Henderson county resident Ramona Bryson. “While DC insider Michael Whatley champions massive health care cuts and backs whatever policy boosts his own stock portfolio, Roy has brought affordable health care to hundreds of thousands of working people and is running to take on the big corporations making life harder for our state’s families.”
