RALEIGH – Today, Roy Cooper continued his “Make Stuff Cost Less” tour, holding an event in Charlotte to discuss how he will work in the U.S. Senate to make life more affordable for North Carolina families.
“Working North Carolina families are paying more and getting less on everything from gas to groceries to utility bills,” said Roy Cooper. “DC Insider and Big Oil and utility lobbyist Michael Whatley supports the harmful policies making life more expensive for families in Charlotte and around the state because they benefit his bottom line and his stock portfolio. Working families need a change – I’m running to be a strong, independent voice for North Carolinians in Washington and to make stuff cost less.”
“My wife and I work hard to give our kids a better life than we had growing up,” said Charlotte father Sean Fredericks. “But as prices keep going up in every aspect of life, it feels increasingly hard to accomplish that. Our grocery bill has doubled and our Duke Energy bill just keeps rising – and then, on top of all that, came higher gas prices because of the Iran War. While Michael Whatley’s stocks keep going up as we pay more, Roy Cooper is running for Senate because he knows we need to make stuff cost less.”

On the Make Stuff Cost Less tour, Roy released his plans to lower the cost of food and groceries, health care, utilities, child care and housing.
