RALEIGH – Today, Roy Cooper hosted a roundtable with farmers in Wilson County, to discuss the devastating impacts of tariffs on North Carolina’s farmers. Farmers from across Eastern North Carolina discussed how tariffs have made every aspect of their business harder, from rising costs of supplies and machinery, to crushed margins, and billions of dollars in lost exports. 

RALEIGH – On Sunday, Roy Cooper published an op-ed in the News & Observer highlighting his commitment to lowering costs and making life better and more affordable for North Carolina families as North Carolina’s next United States Senator.

RALEIGH –  As health care continues to come under attack in Washington, Governor Josh Stein today announced that Governor Cooper’s first-in-the-nation program to relieve the crushing burden of medical debt has successfully helped clear more than $6.5 billion in medical debt for more than 2.5 million North Carolinians as well as preventing future medical debt for patients. The program was initially expected to erase $4 billion in debt.
