NEW SPOT: Dan Forest Claims He’ll “Work Hard” for NC, But His Attendance Record Shows He’s “Hardly Working”
RALEIGH — Today, Cooper for NC released a new spot, “Hardly Working,” highlighting Dan Forest’s failure to show up to work. As Lt. Governor, Forest has missed nearly 200 Senate sessions in five years, over 80% of State Community College Board meetings, and, since the beginning of the pandemic, nearly half of the State Board of Education meetings.
In a recent spot of his own, Dan Forest claims that, as governor, he will “work hard” for North Carolina. Let’s be honest — nothing about his record to date makes that believable.
Liz Doherty, Cooper for NC spokesperson, said, “Despite Forest’s empty promises that he’ll work hard for the people of North Carolina, his years of ‘hardly working’ as Lt. Governor show he won’t. Dan Forest doesn’t even do the bare minimum — he doesn’t deserve a promotion.”
TRANSCRIPT:
Dan Forest: I’m Dan Forest. Leadership is hard work.
Voiceover: This is how hard Dan Forest works.
As Lieutenant Governor, he missed nearly 200 Senate sessions in just five years.
He missed more than 80% of State Community College Board meetings.
And since the start of this pandemic, he’s failed to attend half of the State Board of Education meetings.
But still made time to attend his fundraisers on the same day.
Dan Forest, more like hardly working.
