Forest Flashbacks: Forest Puts “Politics Over Public Health”
RALEIGH — Forest Flashbacks aims to provide a snapshot of Dan Forest’s week in review. Here are the toplines from this week:
Cooper for NC highlights Forest’s lies about COVID-19
- As Forest continues to spread dangerous misinformation on COVID-19, Cooper for NC launched “Get the Facts,” a digital campaign and website that highlight Forest’s lies.
The Salisbury Post denounces Forest’s in-person campaign event
- The Salisbury Post editorial board came down hard on Forest’s reckless decision to hold an in-person campaign event, where he “put politics over public health.” The Salisbury Post notes, “The most egregious example of what to avoid was an event hosted by Lt. Gov. Dan Forest.”
Forest still has no explanation for why he has missed nearly 50% of SBE meetings
- Despite having a Twitter meltdown in response to a Cooper for NC graphic, Forest never actually offered any explanation as to why he missed nearly 50% of State Board of Education meetings during COVID but continues to criticize the Governor’s decisions on education.
