Cooper for NC Launches “Dan Forest: Too Extreme for North Carolina” Ad
Digital ad campaign highlights Dan Forest’s refusal to condemn 311 Speedway’s sale of “Bubba Rope”
RALEIGH – Today, Cooper for NC launched a new digital ad “Dan Forest: Too Extreme for North Carolina.” This video highlights Republican gubernatorial nominee Dan Forest’s ties to one of his proudest supporters, Mike Fulp, owner of 311 Speedway, who recently posted an ad for “Bubba Rope,” or nooses. The post came just days after the racist attack against NASCAR’s only full-time Black driver Bubba Wallace.
Twelve days ago, the North Carolina Democratic Party called on Forest to denounce 311 Speedway’s so-called Bubba Rope. How has Dan Forest responded? The ad notes, “With silence.”
Liz Doherty, Cooper for NC spokesperson, said, “With his refusal to condemn racism at 311 Speedway, Dan Forest continues to reveal to voters that he is too extreme and divisive for North Carolina.”

Newscaster: His name is Mike Fulp. He owns 311 Speedway in Stokes County selling what he called a “Bubba Rope,” on Facebook Marketplace. He reportedly put the noose up for sale just a few days after one was found in Bubba Wallace’s garage in Alabama.
How has Dan Forest responded?
With silence.
Maybe it’s because he believes this:
Dan Forest: “No other nation has ever survived the diversity and multiculturalism that America faces today.”
Dan Forest is too extreme for North Carolina.
