RALEIGH – Yesterday, Roy Cooper continued his Make Stuff Cost Less tour, holding an event in Wilson County to highlight how he will continue his work in the U.S. Senate to bring down rising costs and make life more affordable for working North Carolinians.

Diesel has gone up,” Cooper said. “I’ve heard so many stories about families going in for the grocery shopping they do every week or every other week and getting about the same thing, but then they get to the cashier. The cashier tells them the amount, and they look at each other and say, ‘It can’t be that much.’ But it is. Think about having to take things out of your cart and put them back on the grocery store shelf. That is happening right here in our state. These crushing tariffs, chaotic tariffs, are rising and raising the prices for everyday consumers and small businesses.”
