ICYMI: Roy Cooper Backs Ban on Elected Officials Becoming Lobbyists

Spectrum News: “Roy Cooper announcing support for banning former members of Congress from lobbying…”

RALEIGH – Last week, Roy Cooper announced his support for a ban on elected officials becoming lobbyists after they have left office. This comes as DC insider Michael Whatley has been in the spotlight for his career representing the interests of “the world’s biggest oil companies” and for utility companies including Duke Energy, as well as pushing policy that is driving up costs for North Carolina families and spiking his Big Oil and Big Pharma stocks.
