RALEIGH – Cooper for North Carolina launched the “Latino Leaders for Roy” coalition joined by more than 150 leaders and supporters. Latino leaders from across the state joined the launch to discuss how Roy will put North Carolinians first by lowering costs, working to hold health insurance companies that are ripping off working families accountable and ending the chaos in Washington DC.
“I am humbled and honored to have earned the support of Latino leaders from our state,” said Roy Cooper. “While DC insiders like my opponent, Michael Whatley, line their own pockets, everyday people in our state are being left behind and facing rising costs on everything from gas to food and groceries to utilities. I want to go to Washington to be an independent voice and make stuff cost less for hardworking families in North Carolina.”
“Latino families in Charlotte and across the state are facing skyrocketing child care costs while politicians in Washington DC are only looking out for themselves,” said North Carolina State Rep. Jordan Lopez. “When Roy Cooper was Governor, we worked together to invest in child care and bring good-paying jobs to our state. The folks I represent in Charlotte deserve the best candidate in North Carolina’s Senate seat who will work to make life more affordable for them – Roy is the right person for the job.”

Roy Cooper is running for the United States Senate to make life more affordable for North Carolina families. On his statewide “Make Stuff Cost Less” campaign, Roy is meeting with North Carolinians to discuss his plans to lower the cost of food and groceries, health care, utilities, child care and housing for working families and to highlight how he will fight for them in the U.S. Senate.
