RALEIGH – Today, Roy Cooper continued his “Make Stuff Cost Less” tour, holding an event in Asheville to discuss how he will continue his work in the U.S. Senate to make life more affordable for working North Carolinians.
“Here in Asheville and across the state, working families are getting crushed by the out-of-touch policies coming out of Washington,” said Roy Cooper. “My Washington DC insider opponent and Big Oil and Utility company lobbyist Michael Whatley, either doesn’t understand or ignores that everyday people in our state are hurting. As Senator, I’ll work with anyone to hold big corporations and self-serving politicians accountable. I’m ready to deliver results and lower costs for families in North Carolina.”
“From groceries to gas, costs are skyrocketing across the board,” said working mom Christine Weinerth. “As a mother, I worry that the American dream is getting further and further away for young people like my son. While DC insider Michael Whatley is only looking out for himself, I know Roy will put working North Carolinians first in the U.S. Senate and make stuff cost less.”
“From tariffs to health care cuts, the chaotic and reckless policies coming out of Washington DC are driving up prices, hurting families and businesses including mine,” said local business owner Namurah Blakely. “Roy Cooper knows North Carolinians are struggling – and he is running to make stuff cost less. Meanwhile, DC insider Michael Whatley is championing the very policies hurting us. It’s wrong and it’s time for a change – we need to send Roy Cooper to the U.S. Senate to fight for us.”
On his “Make Stuff Cost Less” tour, Roy has released his plans to lower the cost of food and groceries, health care, utilities, child care and housing.
