  • Reporter: “How does Cooper plan to make stuff cost less for North Carolinians? If he’s elected, he says getting rid of tariffs are where he plans to start, and then finding a way to put an end to the war in Iran. He’s made it clear to his supporters that his messaging is wholly centered around what issues the people of North Carolina say they are facing, and the economy is the number one issue Cooper hears about. And Cooper’s decades of public service are something he says shows what kind of Senator he will be.”
  • Roy Cooper: “I will put the people first. I will do what I believe is right. I will put the people before politics, before party, before power, and that will be the biggest difference between my opponent and me. I will be ready to pass tough anti-corruption laws that we know we need.”

  • Roy Cooper: “We need to roll back these chaotic tariffs that are costing people every time they go and buy something. We need to end this war in Iran. We need to restore health care. People can go and look at my plan because we know that stuff just costs too much, and that’s a big difference. Because I recognize this is a problem, and my opponent doesn’t.”
